Meet our local food partners
As a part of our $1.28 million LFPA grant, we’re strengthening relationships with local and regional partners, bringing fresh food to our clients. Now you can get to know each partner and what we purchase from them by visiting our new Local Partners page!
Check out our resource guide for seniors
We pride ourselves on providing more than a meal to seniors, completing wellness checks and providing friendship with daily deliveries or visits at our congregate sites. When challenges arise outside of a daily visit, seniors may need specialized help. Now, seniors can access reputable resources tailored specifically to their needs, any time they need. Visit our Senior Resources page and find help today.
Submit a name for our naming contest
Over the month of March we asked community members to submit ideas they had for a new name for our congregate meal sites. If you have a good idea for a name, submit it by April 1 to be eligible to have your name chosen and win $25 in Keweenaw Cash! Be sure to check back next month for our announcement about what name we chose! Submit a name now at coppershores.org.
Photos: March for Meals
Thank you to every person who came out and joined us for March for Meals! It was a blast getting to know some of our clients and fellow community members. Between open houses, yoga and photography, it was a busy month for all of us at Meals on Wheels. We have posted some of our favorite photos on a blog post, check it out at coppershores.org! Oh, and don’t forget we’ll be doing chuck-a-puck Saturday night at the Calumet Wolverines game. Be sure to stop by and help us raise some funds, the game starts at 6 p.m.
