Kathleen’s Spring Reflections Tell Story of Vital Services CCSM Provides
The Kitchen Garden serves many purposes. There is an educational opportunity to learn about produce that can survive temperamental Michigan, a way to add some vibrancy and excitement to food, and of course, giving seniors the freshest and most nutritious food we possibly can. These beautiful and bright whole foods are a great alternative to more processed and less healthy foods. To learn more about our gardening plans go to one of most recent blogs post!
Somero Enterprises
We would like to give a big thank you to Somero Enterprises. We drive meals all over the Copper Country, and need plenty of containers to transport food safely and efficiently. Thanks to Somero Enterprises’ donation, we now have boxes, bowls, lids and more to make moving our food a breeze. We appreciate the items and use them whenever we can!

Subaru Share the Love Event
Subaru is the largest donor of automotives to Meals on Wheels. Over 4 million meals have been donated and delivered to seniors, allowing them to remain independent and living in their own homes while maintaining necessary social connections.
Last fall CCSM joined in the nationwide Share the Love Event. We were one of 11 Meals on Wheels programs statewide to do it. The state of Michigan earned a total of $28,876.26 through this year's Event, with $2,625.11 coming to us! Thanks to our friends at Subaru for the donation!
