Copper Shores Meals on Wheels is proud to be a second-year participant in Subaru's Share the Love Event this holiday season!

November is National Family Caregivers Month

Millions of people across the country work full time and go home to be a full time caregiver for a loved one. Meals on Wheels is proud to not only support seniors in having a fulfilling life at home, but also in supporting the people who care for them and their day to day needs. 

Richard Simpson, the operation director at Meals on Wheels recently ran into the daughter of one of the seniors we serve.

She told me again how very thankful she was for Meals On Wheels and that she can feel comfortable enough to have her mother stay at home where she knows that someone will check in on her and chat with her a bit. Closed for Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving coming up, our staff are excited for some much deserved time off. They have been preparing all month for the holiday break and want to make sure that seniors still get their food. As such, weekend meals will be delivered with Tuesday's meal, and Holiday meals will be delivered with Wednesday's meal.

New Website

If you’re looking for us online, you may notice that things look a little different. We rebranded this summer, and now, we have a new website! The information about our services and programs remains the same, but now you can find us at coppershores.org/mealsonwheels, with a whole new look.

Suicide prevention training slated for Nov. 29

Copper Shores Outreach & Education is hosting free suicide prevention training on Wednesday, November 29 at 6 p.m. in L'Anse. The event is free. Find out more and RSVP at coppershores.org/qpr.

Frozen meals during the holiday season

We realize that some of our clients may be gone for the holidays or visiting with family or friends and don't have a need for extra frozen meals over the holiday weekends. Please call our main office, if you would like to cancel any upcoming frozen holiday meals.
