Thanks to those who joined us for Bingo Bonanza at The Bluffs
Our inaugural Bingo Bonanza at The Bluffs was a great time! We had a full house and heard many of you call out Bingo! When it was all said and done we had a bunch of great memories, some incredible new friends and we raised more than $1,900! Thank you to The Bluffs for hosting the event and many local businesses who donated prizes! Check out photos from the event here!
Rock Harbor Lodge on Isle Royale Makes Donation
As the season comes to a close out at Isle Royale's Rock Harbor Lodge, staff close up shop and head back to the mainland for winter. That means that all of the leftover supplies on the island come home on the ships with the staff and crew, including the food. This year we're lucky enough to be receiving all of the extra food as a large and generous donation. Thank you to Kim Alexander, general manager of Rock Harbor Lodge, for thinking of us!
Fraud Workshop
Money Smart for Older Adults, a program by Huntington Bank, will be presented on Thursday, October 5 at the Hancock Congregate Site (Lakeview Community Room) from 3 to 5 p.m. and at the Calumet Congregate Site (Park Avenue Community Room) on Friday, October 6 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The workshops are free and open to anyone interested. An RSVP is required - call 1 (906) 523-5920.
Required Assessments
If you receive a phone call or a note with your meal, call us as soon as possible. You can call us Monday through Friday at (906) 483-1155 to start the assessment process, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. These can be done over the phone or in person.
Congregate Sites
Not only do we provide home-delivered meals for seniors, but we also host congregate meals every weekday at lunch! The Seniors in your life can meet fellow community members, socialize with their neighbors and peers, and enjoy a delicious, freshly home cooked meal. Learn more about these meals and how you can join us on our website.
Finding Golden Treasures in Our Kitchen Garden
With the season coming to an end, the potatoes are finally ready! We had a blast searching in the dirt for these golden treasures, and even more fun delivering them to seniors.
