Event is Saturday, May 11 at Rozsa Center
Copper Shores Community Health Foundation will be hosting a 10th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Registration is currently open.
In December of 2013, the foundation separated from the Portage Hospital and reincorporated as a nonprofit organization with the mission of supporting healthful living in the Copper Country. In that time, Copper Shores has awarded nearly 500 grants, invested nearly $30 million back into the community and expanded to include direct programming to benefit the health of the community.
"Together, we have accomplished a lot over the last 10 years," said Kevin Store, CEO/president of Copper Shores. "This event will not only allow us to highlight what's been done, but most importantly it will be a chance to share the direction we are taking with addressing specific needs in our community."
The night will include delicious food and cocktails, including a guided whiskey sampling, live auction, Las Vegas-style games, live music from a seven-piece band and short presentations from department leaders on the ongoing work at the foundation. Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress for this James Bond-themed night of fun and memory making. The gala will serve as a celebration of the work that has been completed over the last decade, as well as provide a look into the day-to-day achievements of the foundation.
It is only through the support of community members that Copper Shores has been able to forge strong relationships and push forward tangible community changes. The foundation is grateful to have partnered with countless groups across the Copper Country, making it possible to reach new heights in wellness. Helping residents live a healthful life requires intentionality and focus in all areas of life, something that Copper Shores strives to achieve every day.
"There are so many good things going on in our community - across all sectors,” said Store. “This is a chance to highlight some of the work that the foundation, and its partners, have achieved."
Tickets are $125 for a single ticket, or $200 for a pair of tickets. All proceeds from the events will go towards supporting the foundation. To register, see a full schedule and find a list of event sponsors visit coppershores.org/gala.
