More than 40 scholarships available through Portage Health Foundation

New opportunity for non-traditional student; deadline to apply is March 19
Portage Health Foundation (PHF) is proud to announce it has more than 40 scholarships available this year. There are opportunities for students at every public high school in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties, a new offering for non-traditional students, a continued partnership with Keweenaw Economic Development Alliance (KEDA) to offer a skilled trades / career technical education scholarship, and a couple unique opportunities for Michigan Tech students from Joseph B. Kirkish, Ph.D.
“This year’s scholarship offering is filled with exciting opportunities for people to better themselves through education,” PHF Executive Director Kevin Store said. “We believe fully in the value of making education more accessible for our community, and our continually growing scholarship offering is proof of that.”
2021 Scholarship Opportunities
- PHF Scholarship (one available for every area public high school for $1,000 each)
- PHF/KEDA Career and Technical Educational Scholarship (one available for every area public high school for $1,000 each)
- PHF Health Career Scholarship (one available for every area public high school for $1,000 each)
- Non-Traditional Scholarship (three available for $2,500 each)
- Joseph Kirkish Phi Kappa Tau Educational Scholarship (two available for $2,500)
- Joseph Kirkish Educational Scholarship (two available for $2,500 each)
- Joseph Kirkish Congregational Educational Scholarship award (two available for $2,500)
