Congratulations to the latest Superior Educator - Cathy Witz of Lake Linden-Hubbell Public Schools. Read her nomination below! 

"Mrs. Witz is the type of educator who makes sure she blends into the background, never taking credit, and not highlighting what is occuring in her classroom. What she does highlight are her incredible students, who love to spend time in the resource room, work hard each and every day, and love her dearly! Cathy is involved in all aspects of the elementary school. As a teacher of children with Special Needs, Cathy inserts herself into all the right training to keep up with what is going on in the classroom. Her students can be as successful as possible without missing a beat while they are with her. She escorts them on field trips, attends special classes, and even checks in on their lunch time. As the years go on, the needs of students seem to increase, which has increased both the number of students receiving Special Education services, as well as the amount of time they require to obtain those services. All of this has changed Cathy's classroom and efforts over time, and without much acclaim. She is a sweet and gentle spirit for our students, who is willing to do what it takes to help them get what they need, where they need it, and as often as they need it. Lake Linden-Hubbell Elementary is a better place because Mrs. Witz is in it!"
