#GivingTuesday 2020 - Darian Reed from Superior Search & Rescue

This podcast is a part of our Giving Tuesday series and today we talked with Darian Reed from Superior Search & Rescue. They are a ground-based, volunteer organization that assists the Houghton and Keweenaw County law enforcement agencies in finding missing persons. Their emphasis is on providing trained ground searchers, command organization, and incident communications. The team is funded through donations from local government, businesses, and citizens. Members pay for their own equipment and other expenses. Currently, they have about 40 members, about a quarter of them are students at Michigan Tech.
