VIDEO: #GivingTuesday LIVE Recap
December 7, 2023 | By Emilie Jacques
#GivingTuesday is a world wide day of celebrating radical generosity. As the single largest fundraising day nationally, people from across the country donate millions to charity. Copper Shores Community Health Foundation and many other local nonprofits are always excited to join the fun and find ways to support the community.
Thanks to the thousands donations made during the month of November and on #GivingTuesday itself, hundreds of thousands of dollars are going straight back into the community by supporting the operations of over two dozen local nonprofits.
As the fundraising holiday has grown, so too has the local celebration. With thirty nonprofits participating in this year’s #GivingTuesday, the community has outgrown the office space. For the first time, #GivingTuesday and #GiveCopperCountry was held at the Copper Country Mall.
The hard working folks who run local nonprofits took time out of their day to set up tables, network and chat with anyone who had an inquiry. Copper Shores held a media blitz to highlight the nonprofits and set up a booth to accept donations on the spot.
Some of the nonprofits were kind enough to be a part of our video. Below you will find a list of the nonprofits and where to find more information about them.
