Applications were accepted from September 8 until October 9.

In addition to the 30 nonprofit organizations, Copper Shores will also be fundraising for its own programming including Outreach & Education, Meals on Wheels, Bridges and Victim Support. These programs will not be eligible for the match.

Donations will be accepted starting next week. They can be made online at coppershores.org/givingtuesday, or a check can be mailed or dropped off at the Copper Shores downtown Hancock office. Checks must be written to Copper Shores Community Health Foundation with a note on which organization the check is designated for. Copper Shores will once again have a match to incentivize donors to put their money where their heart is by supporting our local nonprofit organizations.

In total this campaign has put more than $2.7 million into nonprofits in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties. This is the seventh year Copper Shores has hosted this event, which takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving - November 28 this year.
