2024-10-22 Menu Calendar - November - Copper-Shores-Meals-On-Wheels-FinalThe dedicated staff at Copper Shores Meals on Wheels continue their tireless efforts to bring local ingredients to their fellow community members. As the growing season slows, the staff remain committed to incorporating fresh, locally sourced produce and proteins into new and classic fall recipes. With the colder months approaching, Meals on Wheels has been preparing to ensure that each meal throughout the fall is not only delicious but also nutritious.2024-10-24-Meals-on-Wheels---Menu---November-Advertising---OL--1x1

With significant equipment upgrades made during the summer, staff have been able to efficiently process the local produce and proteins as they arrive. Meals on Wheels also increased its freezer space, allowing them to freeze ingredients at their peak freshness. This preserves the nutritional value of food, ensuring that the meals served throughout the fall and winter months remain wholesome and satisfying.

This November, seniors can look forward to another full month of meals with at least one locally sourced ingredient. This month's warm and comforting fall offerings include:

  • November 12: Roasted pork with stuffing, vegetables and strawberry dessert
  • November 15: Cabbage roll casserole with potatoes, carrots and fresh fruit
  • November 19: Lamb stew with broccoli salad and a biscuit
  • November 20: Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas & pearls and a whole wheat roll
  • November 25: Tomato soup with garlic bread, cottage cheese and a cookie
