Meghan at the Market returns this September
September 6, 2024 | By Emilie Jacques
Meghan at the Market is back at From the Ground Farmers Market Collective markets in early September. This delightful and easy going series takes place on September 10, 12, and 14 with Meghan Jaszczak, Copper Shores Community Health Educator. Ask Jaszczak, a registered dietitian, about nutrition, recipes, ingredient substitutions and more. This exciting series will offer attendees a chance to taste delicious food samples, explore cookbooks and take home informational handouts.
“I am your foodie friend,” said Jaszczak. “Food doesn't have to be scary. You can ask me anything; I’m here to break it down and make it easy.”
Event Details
- Tuesday, September 10: Houghton Market, 3 - 6 p.m.
- Thursday, September 12: Hancock Market, 3 - 6 p.m.
- Saturday, September 14: Calumet Market, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
At each market, visitors will have the opportunity to sample a unique oatmeal breakfast offering inspired by carrot cake, and made right out of the Copper Shores Meals on Wheels Kitchen.
This initiative follows a community-wide survey conducted by Copper Shores in 2022, which sought feedback on local nutritional programming. "Meghan at the Market" represents one of multiple efforts to improve access to nutrition education and foster a healthier community.
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore delicious food, gain valuable culinary insights and connect with the community.
