Meals on Wheels accepts Bridge Card payments
July 23, 2024 | By Emilie Jacques
Seniors participating in the Copper Shores Meals on Wheels program that receive food assistance have the option to use their Michigan Bridge Card to cover the cost of their meals. The Meals on Wheels service provided by Copper Shores ensures that seniors never have to pay out of pocket for their meals. However, a small donation of $8 per meal is suggested for those who are able to contribute. That includes making a contribution using a Michigan Bridge Card.
For seniors on a food assistance program who choose to donate, Meals on Wheels simplifies the process by tallying the total number of meals received throughout the month. Seniors can then make their donation using a straightforward form provided by Meals on Wheels.
This program not only ensures that seniors receive nutritious meals delivered to their homes but also allows those who can afford it to contribute towards the cost of their meals, supporting the longevity of the program. The suggested donation helps offset operational costs and helps ensure the continuation of nutritious and fresh meals for all participants.
