January 2025 Menu Highlight at Copper Shores Meals on Wheels

A new year brings a new menu for Copper Shores Meals on Wheels, and we're proud that once again every meal will feature at least one item that is locally produced! We can do that thanks to the $1.28 million Local Food Purchasing Agreement (LFPA) grant. Below are a couple menu highlights for the month. 

• Tuesday, January 7 - Bison chili featuring fresh bison meat from Circle K Buffalo Ranch in Rudyard. 
• Wednesday, January 22 - A local favorite with pannukaku freshly cooked in our Hancock kitchen! It will be served with bacon from Buried Stone Farms in Rock and Johnson Potato Farms in Crystal Falls. 
• Thursday, January 30 - A healthy serving of Ham from our friends at Buried Stone Farms in Rock.

These meals will not only be delivered to the homes of our seniors, they're also served daily at our Meet & Eat sites. That includes meals in Lake Linden, Mohawk, Chassell and Hancock. All sites currently have openings, call 1 (906) 483-1155 at least one day ahead of time to reserve your meal.
