This year for #GivingTuesday, individuals can eat at their favorite restaurants and make a difference in the Copper Country. Portage Health Foundation (PHF) has partnered with six restaurants so that going out to eat on November 29, 2022, will lead to a donation to the 26 nonprofit organizations of #GivingTuesday.
Here are the six restaurant partners for 2022:
- Copper Range Depot
- Ginos Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge
- Michigan House Cafe
- Syl’s Cafe
- The Squeeze on Main
- Skippers Bar and Grill
Each restaurant has a set protocol for how donations will be made based on the business they receive on the day of #GivingTuesday.
Copper Range Depot
The Copper Range Depot is located at 301 W Lakeshore Dr, Houghton, MI and will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 29. They provide homestyle cooking with a Southern flair directly along the Houghton waterfront. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with a dining experience filled with train memorabilia from the building's original life as a passenger depot for the Copper Range Railroad. The Copper Range Depot will be donating 5% of their total sales on #GivingTuesday.
Gino’s Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge
Gino’s Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge is located at 800 Quincy Street, Hancock, MI and will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 29. They provide a simple menu filled with classic comfort Italian food, for both lunch and dinner. Gino’s Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge will donate $1 for every person that is served on #GivingTuesday.
Michigan House Cafe
The Michigan House Cafe is located at 300 6th St, Calumet, MI and will be open 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on November 29. They offer a variety of dishes for anything you’re craving like sandwiches, steaks, fish and much more. Michigan House Cafe will donate $2 for every person that is served on #GivingTuesday.
Syl’s Cafe
Syl’s Cafe is located at 713 River St, Ontonagon, MI and will be open 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 29. They offer a variety of comfort food with the classic hometown dining experience. Syl’s Cafe will donate 5% of their total sales on #GivingTuesday.
The Squeeze on Main
The Squeeze on Main is located 401 River St, Ontonagon, MI and will be open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 29. They are a quick-serve healthy food establishment offering smoothies, salads, local produce and meat with a changing entree menu daily. The Squeeze on Main will donate 5% of their total sales on #GivingTuesday.
Skippers Bar and Grill
Skippers Bar and Grill is located 9 Front St, L'Anse, MI and will be open 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on November 29. They offer a wide variety of homestyle foods and have an entire Mexican menu as a special for Tuesdays served with their usual menu. Skippers Bar and Grille will donate $1 for every person that is served on #GivingTuesday.
