Copper Shores Community-Wide Picnic is Coming to L’Anse

Event is Sunday, July 30 from 12 to 3 p.m. at L’Anse Waterfront

Details for the second annual Copper Shores Community-Wide Picnic are coming together with an impressive list of vendors, activities and prizes for the event taking place from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 30 in L’Anse at the Waterfront Park. There will be a wide variety of vendors and activities, as well as food provided for those in attendance. All of it is free and open to the public.

“Copper Shores Community Health Foundation serves a broad region,” President/CEO Kevin Store said. “We are excited to hold an event in L’Anse and help bring greater awareness to the many local and dedicated organizations which serve our community.”

The event will include a free lunch, a dunk tank with special guests to dunk, bounce houses, a pop-up farmers market, live music and booths with local organizations. 

In addition, there will be a chance to win raffle prizes by visiting non-profits such as UP Kids, Baraga County Shelter Home, Baraga County Communities that Care, Keweenaw CAPE, Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds, Tribal Child Services Community Outreach, Village of L’Anse Fire Department, Village of L’Anse Police Department, Baraga County Sheriff’s Office, Great Lakes Recovery Centers,  KBICSAP/New Day Treatment Center, From the Ground Farmers Market Collective, Superior Search and Rescue, Omega House, Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, Girls Scouts, Camp Josh, and more. Copper Shores will also have tables with information on Prevention Services, Houghton/Keweenaw Communities That Care, Do Good, Superior Educators and Giving Tuesday.

All activities, games, and lunch, are free and open to the public with activities going from noon to 3 p.m. at the L’Anse Waterfront Park. A full schedule and list of vendors, raffle prizes and activities will be posted and updated regularly at coppershores.org/picnic
