Family Support Program

Copper Shores Family Support Program is designed for Copper Country families and individuals that are looking to better themselves. 

The Family Support Program is equipped with community support specialists who help families in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties  identify and achieve their short-and long-term goals. Every goal is set up with the family’s core values in mind, and is led by that family.

Families can receive help with:

  • Putting food on the table
  • Filling out housing or financial/state forms
  • Setting up counseling services
  • Seeking employment opportunities
  • More!

Individuals can receive help with:

  • Adding some skills to their parenting style
  • Filling out a resume or job application
  • Achieving personal goals, regardless of where are at in the process
  • More!

The Family Support team has worked with and uplifted hundreds of families and individuals in the community in obtaining, utilizing and following through with resources for any need that may arise.

Families can receive help with anything from helping put food on the table, to filling out housing or financial/state forms, to setting up counseling services, to helping to seek employment opportunities. Individuals can receive help adding some skills to their parenting style, have someone sit next to them as they fill out a resume or job application, or have someone to listen to their decision of what they want to achieve, where they are at in the process, and how support can help get them get there, Copper Shores community support specialists are here to help.
