Terry Peterson has volunteered at 31 Backpacks since they started the program. She was determined to help 31 Backpacks find ways to recycle cardboard and plastic for little to no cost. Terry made it her responsibility to ensure everything that could be recycled, did get recycled. In March, Terry had some health issues that now prevent her from driving. This hasn't stopped her from going to 31 Backpacks every week to pack and pick up their recycling. She also suggests 31 Backpacks to college students looking for volunteer hours at Michigan Tech and Gogebic Community College.
