Miyoko Wisti
Miyoko is an enthusiastic member and volunteer at International Neighbors, where she serves as the host for every meeting and takes on the responsibility of ensuring participants enjoy themselves while having access to sufficient food and beverages. Additionally, Miyoko extends her volunteer services to the Canterbury House meetings, yet another international community gathering place. Besides her volunteer work, Miyoko has adopted seven dogs from Copper Country Humane Society and offers her exceptional Japanese tutoring skills to the Canterbury House community. Miyoko carries out all these responsibilities earnestly and with great attention to detail. She is a Tokyo-native who has already been a Japanese Yooper for the past 35 years, she makes sure everyone knows how to make simple sushi and promotes Japanese culture in every semester at International Neighbors.
