Bill started the Let's Eat Community Meal Program in 2015 in Chassell. It has grown to providing free, nutritious meals to individuals in Hancock, Baraga, South Range and Mass City. The goal of the community meals is not just to feed people, but to provide fellowship. This was unfortunately lost during COVID, when they had to resort to drive through meals, but they were able to keep going despite those challenges. Bill has spearheaded this entire effort, recruiting help as needed to see that this program thrived. He has been involved in every aspect of the programming, from advertising, to shopping, to cooking and cleaning. Through his efforts, it continues to go strong. Recently Bill also started a new program called Let's Rebuild Community. This program seeks to assist the elderly, veterans and low income households in keeping their homes safe. Bill is an amazing individual, who is constantly looking out for the welfare of those less fortunate. He is a blessing to our community.
